A Journey to Wellness - The Path

Everybody in this world, is on a journey to wellness all the time.  Perfect wellness is what we all are aiming for.  We are looking for improvement in one or other area of our life - sometimes it may by physical wellness, sometimes emotional, sometimes mental (peace, stress relief etc), sometimes relationships, sometimes finances, and some more others.

We love being in the state of wellness, don't we?  And the journey towards more and more wellness is amazing and so much unique for each and every individual.  All our journeys cross paths with each other and what do you think we should do when we come across some other's journey?  Help them towards wellness ofcourse.  Do you think other's wellness will take us away from our path to wellness?  Think about it... Have you ever felt bad when you helped someone?  Sometimes, yes.  In that case, ask whether you felt bad when you were helping or due to events/thoughts after helping?  I am sure it is after the event.  Any guesses on why we feel bad after we have helped someone due to course of events/thoughts?  There is only one reason:  We left our path to wellness and started walking on theirs.  We were supposed to help them and go on our own since our paths had crossed on the way, instead we helped them and started walking on their path... what can we expect to happen?

We need to be aware that it is our own individual journey, it is unique and we will meet others on the way.  We need not walk their path.  We can walk with them for some time, till our paths coincide, but then we need to choose our path when the paths separate.

We need to remember - we are on the journey to WELLNESS, any thought or any incident that feels otherwise, means we are moving away from Wellness.  We need to learn to deliberately bring ourselves back to our own path.  Being on our path to wellness will feel the best... the best form of happiness, the best form of peace, the best form of love.  We need to find what makes us feel the best.

Psychosomatic Disorders - What can we do about it?


What is Psychosomatic Disorder?

Psychosomatic disease/illness/disorder - conditions that manifest themselves in physical symptoms but have no discernable underlying pathology.

In a lecture entitled 'Brain, Mind and Body Connections' - the latest installment of Weill Cornell Medical College in Qatar's monthly Medicine and U community health forum, Dr. Abdel Moniem Abdel Hakam explained that the symptoms of psychosomatic disorders range greatly in severity and type, from mild complaints such as slight fatigue, weakness and insomnia to serious symptoms like mutism, chronic fatigue, paralysis, abnormal movements, blindness and deafness.

Low back pain and psychological disorder

A research conducted in Qatar between March and December 2012 concludes that the symptoms of depression and somatisation were prevalent among low back pain patients and that functional disability was higher in the patients.

There are many other researches done worldwide on psychosomatic disorders.


What can we do?

It is very important to analyze and try to understand whether the pain/discomfort you are going through is purely physical or is of psychological origin. The smart move will be to identify it in the beginning itself. You can surround yourself with more positivity than before, make conscious efforts to make yourself feel happy, engage in activities that you enjoy and similar other activities. Meditation is one of the great options in such cases. Meditation and mindfulness can greatly reduce your stress levels, making your thought process clear, removing any blockages and thereby reducing any pain/discomfort which was caused by stress.


Can Energy Healing Help?

If the intervention is done in the beginning, energy healing sessions can help within a week or few days. For long-term illnesses, the best option is combination of medication, regular doctor visits and energy healing sessions.


How does Energy Healing Help?

Healing Sessions at your Residence

We are glad to announce Healing Sessions at your Residence. The Healer can now visit your home and you can have in-person individual healing session in the location you are comfortable and familiar with. You can share your issues in complete privacy and confidentiality and also ask any questions regarding the method.

Who can Benefit?

The sessions are specifically designed for:
  • People who are unable to visit the center
  • Who prefer in-person healing
  • Who want to maintain their privacy
  • Terminally ill or bed-ridden individuals
  • Parents who would want healing for their children
  • People who wish to have peace and harmony in the family/home

What is Included?

A single session will last for one (1) hour. The breakdown is as follows:
  • 20 minutes - light exercises and meditation
  • 30-40 minutes - healing and counselling

How should I Prepare?

Before you call a healer for a session at your home, you need to make sure of the following:
  • There is no disturbance (television, mobile etc) in the room where you are planning to have healing.
  • The door can be kept open during the session, but the family members should be instructed not to intrude.
  • If the healing recipients are children, it is preferable that they are sleep during the healing. They should not stay in the room during meditation. Either or both parents will be meditating in this case.
  • The healing recipient should wear light and comfortable clothing
  • Jewelry and accessories should be minimized

Healing and Karma

One of the most common question faced by healers these days is that, what if I am suffering the effects of my karma?  Can any kind of healing help me?

This is a very interesting question to ponder upon and discuss with similar minded people.  One of the healing gurus has said that, a healer should never stop himself or herself from healing because he/she think this is karmic.  Divine intervention can also help neutralize negative karma.
